We have discovered that the fall on our block of land is more than we anticipated (away from the curb) and the builder will be cutting to put in the slab...the only problem is, the cutting will make the driveway lower than the curb (i.e. drive into it down a small hill) which may bottom out our cars - as we have seen in the house next door rendering their driveway/garage unusable). My question is, in lieu of using stumps or such to build up, can a slab be made thicker and therefore a whole lot higher so that the house is build up?? Obviously it would cost more but I just wondered if it could be done.
TIA
