Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 27, 2009 9:10 pm Hi all,
Ive just been quoted $16,500 for site costs for a P class slab. Most of the costs are straight forward (inc temp fencing, crush rock etc), but there are two which i am questioning: material handling and removal of soil. These are quite obvious costs for building therefore i would think they would be included in the building price already. These two items add up to $3000 so they're not cheap. Has anyone been charged for these or something similar? Re: breakdown of site costs 2Jan 27, 2009 9:16 pm Being a P class slab usually means they have to remove a fair bit of soil, to replace with concrete. it would be fairly easy to remove 5-10 trucks (50 to 100 m3) So at 80-100 per load to dump clean fill plus labour time you can easily have 1500 with out builders mark up etc. Re: breakdown of site costs 3Jan 28, 2009 12:26 pm this post might help you. Ppl hve shared their site costs & breakdown...

They said the frames may have to be craned in and not driven around the site and dropped off withh the hihab truck/crane and the bricks may have to be barrowed in... we had small additions to our account at the end.... but it all sounded reasonable when explained. It was alo explained if the piers went deeper or there was an inbalace on the cut and fill because of a drive grade we had to achieve unwanted soil maybe needed to be taken away... which I guess meant a machine to load it a truck to go to a tip wherever that was and tipping costs at the tip plus a builders margin... $3000 sounds reasonable Life is an enjoyment, enjoy it Re: breakdown of site costs 5Jan 31, 2009 5:38 pm my sites were $20,00 for m soil type but that included our hws finished building 40 square home on 5 acres with perry homes.working on the landscaping just finished pool deck with ://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2217 I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this.
