Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 27, 2009 5:03 pm hi guys,
i am set to build my first investment property (2 bed room unit) in the suburb of Epping, Victoria. Just wondering whether any one can give me some tips in saving money on materials and construction. I have been looking to explore Wholesalers and/auctions for all parts of the house... can anyone recommend any of these based in Melbourne???? Any information that can help me save a penny or two would be great. Saving money is hard work and it takes lots of time in homework and research. Before you can go to auctions you need to have a good idea on what it is exactly you need, for the whole project. In my experience you dont always find what you need when you want it so you may need to buy it (before you need it) as you come across it and store the material somewhere. Off course this can be difficult. When you go to auctions you also have to have a good idea of how much material you want as buying to much or not enough both have there problems and could cost you more in trying to match later on. brokers will also be in a position to get you a better rate than the advertised rate most times. 6 7564 That's a fantastic result! Happy you got it sorted out. cheers Simeon 6 8630 in the stormwater pit or the drain? Those dont look like theyd fit in the drain. Separately, the pits do get stuff in them during the course of the build. For the most… 1 7928 |
