Happy packing Thorney yeah, was not expecting that at all....but bugger me, whenever l save $$ on something, there seems to be always an extra unforeseen expense immediately afterwards A long time coming indeed!!!...what was originally to be 6-12 months of renting has turned out to be a looonnnggg 3yrs and 4 months!! Ah well, only a few more weeks to go and then our renting days are over.....for good! I just posted in your thread before about getting some dates....our builds are at pretty similar stages so yeah, your handover can't be that far off either. Why is your SS being so vague about it? Re: Thorney's GJ Lewis Home..2/9 Floor Tiling 784Sep 08, 2009 12:03 am novotel I shouldn't have said neutral that sounded negative meant to call it Earthy colours like Hels did. Exciting!!! Lol, don't worry novo, l know what you mean't, no offence taken honestly but yeah it's earthy but still very neutral and for mine, a bit blandish....and it would've been even more so had l went with the cream verticals l originally was thinking of , so l changed them to a contrasting colour....yet another shade of brown I reckong the hardest bit of building is going through all the seemingly unending rigmarole before the build can actually start! Hang in there, wodonga council are usually pretty quick Re: Thorney's GJ Lewis Home..2/9 Floor Tiling 785Sep 08, 2009 7:52 am Hi Thorney, colours look great, it looks like a proper house!! I also love the front door.... wishing we went a double front door now. It's like having a quality blank canvas and you can start painting the things you want on it. Out of curiousity and totally random, what is two of your favourite colour? No probs Leonard...its hard keeping up with all the builds going on and oh trying to have some semblance of a normal life! lol hehe...blink again and see below --------------------------------------------------------- Well all my wall tiles are up and grouted, apart from the kitchen and ensuite vanity which will be done tomorrow morning. The kitchen splashback looks amazing, dirty tiles, no grout and all. I am so so pleased that l changed my mind and added some contrast to the kitchen. The gloss from the tiles and the mosaics is truly awesome...I cannot wait to see the finished result! The light wasn't great this arvo, so l'll be taking a heap more postable pics of all the tiling tomorrow (errr, later today now, lol) but here's a sneak peak : Close-up of Kitchen splashback: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Thorney's GJ Lewis Home..2/9 Floor Tiling 792Sep 09, 2009 12:58 am Hi thorney, what a lovely warm choccie colour.... great idea to put in the contrast mosaics too! I’m so excited and rapt at the moment…it’s looking like a full on liveable house now!!
Now l freakin left my SD card at home so these are all on the camcorder which has no flash so most pics are looking dark. Will be heading back down after work to take some more with the good camera. I just can’t wait til tonight to post the good pics so l’ll post the camcorder ones now…. Are you ready for the picfest!! I just love love love my kitchen!! …the splashback has turned out so much better than l had envisaged……like l said last night, l am so glad that l did not go through with having the offwhite/cream tiles l originally chose. I wanted some wow factor to my kitchen and l reckon l managed to achieve it. As you can see, the dishwasher, the cooktop, sink and mixer tap is in too Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Shelving has also been done My pantry: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Master WIR Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And my awesome WIL….the shelving guy said that it was the largest linen cupboard he has ever fitted out in his 9 years on the job. I have doubted and second guessed the colour all throughout. Yesterday l was ruing that l did not change it as as feared it has come up too light and peachy and doesn’t really go. Now that it’s all grouted it’s looking a wee bit better today but dang! I shoulda chose a more browner benchtop….ah well . I’m hoping that once the mirror is up, the cedar venetians are in and l’ve got my brand new dark peach towels in there, that it might come up looking better. That might be so, but l’m sure down the track that we will make the expensive decision to replace the benchtop anyway. I don’t know if it’s the mould of the basins but all my tap spouts for the vanities are leaning forward and look mental . Have left a message for my SS to get back to me on this one….l want them straightened up and if it’s not possible for some reason, then we’ll get new spouts, l ain’t putting up with crooked ones! Apart from that, everything else looks fantastic. I love love love my spa and l’m so glad that l got the chrome bath edge strip…it really adds a touch of class to the spa: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Spa pump has been installed (and HWS too) and as you can see it’s been filled up in readiness to get it fired up and running: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Close-up of feature tile Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And lastly, my ensuite…l’m so rapt with how this is looking and l have no doubt that l’ll be even more rapt once the mirrors and lights are in . I loved how the ungrouted vanity tiles looked yesterday but today l love it even more so: I tried to take a close-up pic of the tile but they are so glossy all l could see was my reflection!! They are pretty bland cream. /nervous 2. love the feature wall in the ensuite. it's a pity can't really see it too clearly in piccies. is that a marble stone features? i saw some in the tile shop and they look sooo gooood and heavy. hehe. cost $$$ too. 3. I love the skirting on the laundry tile. 4. walk in robe <-- speechless. that is all. /cheer Re: Thorney's GJ Lewis Home...9/9 What a Massive Day!! *picfest* 800Sep 09, 2009 2:26 pm COWABUNGA THORNEY TMNT fan here picfest is an understatement.
