Loving all the pics and your splashback has come up really well. All very exciting progress for you Re: Thorney's GJ Lewis Home...9/9 What a Massive Day!! *picfest* 824Sep 12, 2009 10:19 am I love it Thorney Your house has come up absolutely beautiful I love the deep claret colour of you ensuite tiles and you kitchen is great! DH not happy with our kitchen he says not much room each side of the stove cause I have all my cr.. on there So in the next house I have to go longer if I go for galley style, but I am thinking of going back to the traditional U shape that may make him happy, have to look after the cook You will love the Bosch dishwasher, its great I always use the vario speed button and my dishes come up sparkling, why let it take twice the time if you dont have to, its so good you can use the quickest wash for anything and things still come up clean and its to quiet I am definately going to get this one again if I build another house. Cant wait to see your beautiful lounge and family room carpeted now, I so impatient always cant wait to see the next stage Your thread has been great to follow and your comments keep us all entertained. Well done Know where your going in life............... you may already be there Re: Thorney's GJ Lewis Home...9/9 What a Massive Day!! *picfest* 825Sep 12, 2009 11:58 pm I must have blinked too Thorney! I am dizzy (in a good way) with all your progress! it looks fantastic!!!! The kitchen splashback came up beautiful, glad you changed it too, so nice!!!! Love all your other feature tiles too! You've done great with your choices, so much to cross off your stress list this week! Ummm, those taps do look a bit funny, but I am sure it will be an easy fix, don't let them say no though... Well, you have a diswasher so you can move in already, you don't need anything else! I think I am making it really obvious that I can't wait to have a dishwasher again! we had people over for dinner and I so hated the washing up afterwards! Not long to go now, I can't believe it's so close! But silly DH agreed...without asking me first too!! blessed - l love the feature tiles with the vanity but even if l had changed the vanity to something which compliemnts the whole bathroom better, l've realised that although the bathroom is nice...it's fairly beige boring and gasp...oldish looking. Am wishing l went with a one coloured tile (plain white or something darker). Ah well, at least the ensuite will rock! Well done Thanks Taffy Hehe, ooohh l would;ve loved to gone more claret and burghundy's throughout the home....actually l don;t know why l didn't?? The ensuite vanity tile is actually called "agatha Black" a dark chocolate with black lines through it...since l can't take a good pic of it yet, l found one on the net: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ You've got me even more excited about my Bosch now!! Can't wait to see the house almost finished this week...SS said he wanted everything on the inside done by Friday Jochicho I must have blinked too Thorney! Isnt' it funny how we always look forward the most to the stuff we've either never had before or the things we once had but don't currently! Re: Thorney's GJ Lewis Home...9/9 What a Massive Day!! *picfest* 829Sep 13, 2009 10:39 pm Well after the massive day we had on Wednesday, l wasn't surprised that nothing else was done Thurs or Friday However, my BIL has finally started fitting off the electricals ...All the lightfittings have been bought (some still on order) and yesterday we spent a few hours assembling the ceiling fans, putting labels on the light switches and oh!! installing the Oven...OMG!! that thing was ridicoulously heavy! He's also fitted the kitchen powerpoints, which look awesome (pics tomorrow ) I also met our new next door neighbours who seemed lovely and easy going. Bonus!! The hubby was doing his own site scrape and cut. We discussed the retaining wall on our boundary and l advised that we had a quote for a metre high one but wouldn't be able to get it built for 2-3 months yet. It turns out that he wants it done before he they start their build and as such, he's already got plans to build a concrete block one himself...Cool! Tomorrow BIL should be continuing with fitting off, the heating/cooling guys are due to their fit off. Hopefully a couple other of the to-do things might get done too. Fingers crossed! Re: Thorney's GJ Lewis Home...9/9 What a Massive Day!! *picfest* 830Sep 13, 2009 10:42 pm Hels Woo-hoo!!! It's finally in!.....good on ya Hel's DH! Looking great Hels, you sound chuffed!! Have you used it yet??? How does it compare?? Re: Thorney's GJ Lewis Home...9/9 What a Massive Day!! *picfest* 831Sep 13, 2009 10:56 pm thorney Hels Woo-hoo!!! It's finally in!.....good on ya Hel's DH! Looking great Hels, you sound chuffed!! Have you used it yet??? How does it compare?? It was a hassle to fit it because the hole in the cupboard wasn't big enough so DH had to drill a larger one. Then it took ages to fiddle with the feet to get it level. I think the bottom of it is bowed (which you can see in the photo) so I am going to contact Bosch to get them to swap the bottom kick panel. I looked at your pics again and it looks straight at the bottom on your dishwasher, but have a look at it next time you go to your house. I notice that yours has the top on too which I wanted to do, but our cabinet makers had fitted a matching bit of trim at the top so we had to take the lid off to make it fit. Sorry for rambling to answer your question... no we haven't used it as it's not full yet so I'll put it on tomorrow. I particularly like the hygiene setting as we will wash the baby's bottles in it. Will let you know how it performs Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark, and professionals built the Titanic." Ah ok now that you mention it, the right side looks a bit skewiff, not much though...still if it ain't straight then Bosch should replace it...good luck! I must remember to check mine tomorrow. Hehe, yeah when l read in your thread that you'd only put it in tonight l figured that you probably haven't used it yet, lol...Hygeine setting sounds cool ...looking forward to hearing your performance report Re: Thorney's GJ Lewis Home...9/9 What a Massive Day!! *picfest* 833Sep 17, 2009 7:30 pm thorney Hehe, yeah when l read in your thread that you'd only put it in tonight l figured that you probably haven't used it yet, lol...Hygeine setting sounds cool ...looking forward to hearing your performance report I love it, love it, love it So very quiet and everything comes out so clean and almost dry.
