Re: Pinkfairys GJG dreamhome...PHOTO FEST! 344Oct 22, 2009 3:29 pm Not happy, no-ones been at the house all week, they are meant to be finsihed in 5 weeks and they could be finsihed well and truely within that time frame if they knuckled down and got tradies there.... Hopefully we will have someone there next week, not much left to do really... * Electrical fitoff * Plumbing fitoff * Touch up painting * Flooring and a/c man to come back, then all done! Not long now, hopefully. Building Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=13002 Site start: 8th July 2009 Handover: 11/12/2009! 5 months total build time. 40 sqs of luxuary...Bliss! Re: Pinkfairys GJG dreamhome...PHOTO FEST! 345Oct 23, 2009 8:07 am Oh pink i hope they pull their fingers out and get to work. Looking at your rate of progress, the period of quietness hasn't hindered your progress. When your tradies get onsite they always end up making up for lost time and i think this time, you'd be alright Re: Pinkfairys GJG dreamhome...PHOTO FEST! 346Oct 23, 2009 8:52 pm I hate that when there's a delay for what ever reason, your soooooo close how frustrating! come on tradies do your thing!!! Sending you some speedy vibes PF, I hope next week you have a hive of activity and most of the fit off's and painting touch ups get done. SS has mentioned that they have put them back until Wednesday now, in hope to get the painter in there to finish off. Kitchen splashback still needs to be done, just waiting on these glass tiles to come in and tiler will come back. We are having 262m2 of coloured concrete around the perimeter of the house and half of that will be poured on Tuesday and the rest poured on the weekend, can't wait, it's going to be awsome! Will take pics and post once completed. Have to book the tint man to come and tint the front 6 windows, see pic below, coz the front two on the left are my girls bedrooms which get full afternoon sun, we are going to tint them with a really dark, mirror effect tint, so you can't see in and then put a blockout curtain on them aswell, it's amazing how hot it gets in those rooms, but we have put ceiling fans all through the house and have a VERY good a/c unit, so I hope all this helps and it's not too bad in their rooms... Very exciting, seeing it all coming together. http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p371/brojas7906/ba2e9344.jpg Building Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=13002 Site start: 8th July 2009 Handover: 11/12/2009! 5 months total build time. 40 sqs of luxuary...Bliss! Re: Pinkfairys GJG dreamhome...Update 1/11!!! 353Nov 01, 2009 8:34 pm Good idea to tint those windows. Roller shutters are also very effective (we have them on our bedroom windows) but TBH I don't really like them on the front of the house and some estates won't allow it anyway. The tint will definitely look nicer and give some privacy Blog: http://bluemistkids.blogspot.com "Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark, and professionals built the Titanic." Re: Pinkfairys GJG dreamhome...Update 1/11!!! 354Nov 02, 2009 8:41 am Looking awesome PinK! Tint is an excellent idea. The back of our house, along with all minor bedrooms faces west. The downstairs area is fine being tiled and all but the bedrooms upstairs were a little warm. We left the windows open and it cooled down pretty quick. However, I too would like to look into getting them tinted. It isn't even summer yet and already the little heat from last week had us scampering to turn on the evaporative cooler Re: Pinkfairys GJG dreamhome...Update 1/11!!! 355Nov 03, 2009 7:15 pm Hello whoevers reading, Eccchhhooooo.... The Chandelier and kitchen pendents have now been installed, will need to get a photo of them but at this present moment I am not real keen on them now they have been installed. PLUS check out what I have found instead...teeheehee me so naughty! evil:: http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p371/brojas7906/249c5532.jpg I really like these, but would have to then try and sell the other pendents on ebay or the like as they cannot go back to the shop now. The concrete that was started today... It's black but will become "blacker" once it has the black sealer applied. The rest will be poured on the weekend. Can't wait!
