Does anyone know how long this process should take? They are expecting to get the brickies there next week but with this rain, I can't see it happening! KnockItDown Hi PFM - your house looks very spacious. Nice view from the back of the house. Will you need to put up a fence to protect yourself from wayward weekend hackers? Yes, fence will come eventually...lol Thank you for your lovely comments. thechlochlo :: WOW pink it's looking oh so fabulous I love the entry with corridors that lead off at both sides and the kitchen mixer tap DAM that's spesh, I love the idea of a laundry hamper (why didn't I think of that) and your living spaces are brilliant nice and spacious Congrats to you and hope your bricks come soon. Thank you thank you for the pics......you have a full on house now and it's looking awesome!!! And your so kind to avail us with the kitchen bench sneak peak......NOT!!! l Can't see nothing but paper, cardboard and tape woman!....how cruel A big yay for the painters but a big boooo about the bricks! Hang on a minute ....so you've got all the walls plastered but nothing but wrapping protecting them??? Hey Thorney...You would be correct in thinking the above, it's rediculous but at least they haven't stopped work, but with this rain, hail and wind, it could be a disastrous risk they have taken, but nothing we can do now! We just have to suck it up and hope it turns out ok, if not, they will be replacing everything that needs replacing including plastered walls if they get wet. Re: Pinkfairys GJG dreamhome...Lots of pics 1/10 305Oct 05, 2009 1:37 pm Well there is a hive of activitey at the house today, brickies, painters and roofers...LOL Finally brickies have started, by 1pm they had only done one course all the way around the whole house, can't see much more getting done by the time they leave today. Roofers were there putting the roof on the pergola, which looks great now, can't wait to see it with the concrete down either, yahooooo they are also instaling the whirly birds in the roof for the house that they forgot to do originally and painters have started painting inside...YIIIIIIPPPPPPPEEEEEEE About time they are getting something done, after a week of nothing! Should have some more pics by the end of the week. Building Thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=13002 Site start: 8th July 2009 Handover: 11/12/2009! 5 months total build time. 40 sqs of luxuary...Bliss! Totally the opposite of our broker. He was so switched on and was harrassing the bank at every opportunity - and they needed harrassing. Stooges. Love your choice of kitchen bench top - we have same .. I was a bit worried about it.. but having seen pics feel much better. Did you get diamond gloss or the normal version ? Lovely house Re: Pinkfairys GJG dreamhome...Lots of pics 1/10 307Oct 05, 2009 3:15 pm Wow PFM, things have powered ahead for you! It is looking sooo good. We had super slow painters so not sure how long it should take, ours never seemed to finish anything, it took weeks and weeks and weeks. I'm sure the painter was the hold up at our place. Good luck getting the kids to use the laundry hamper, ours has a door in the bathroom and I still have to remind my boys to put their clothes in it!! Re: Pinkfairys GJG dreamhome...Lots of pics 1/10 308Oct 05, 2009 6:15 pm I just caught up with your thread PFM and your house is looking great it's really taking shape. Lovely house Had I known 6 months ago when I was looking for a broker that we would rely so much on them and still need to be in contact with them to this day, I would have put alot more time and effort into finding someone that we were 110% happy with, silly me, I can honestly say we had no idea what was involved with using a broker back then and have learnt that lesson the hard way and in the mean time found a hole in that market (in our area) that needs filling, desperatly. The benchtop is Diamond Gloss Catalana marble laminex, you won't be disapointed, it's lovely. fairy blue Wow PFM, things have powered ahead for you! It is looking sooo good. Considering there was NO1 there all last week (barely anyone) there are trades men EVERYWHERE there today, I had a meeting with the electrician at the house today and no word of a lie there were at least 15 tradies there all working on my home...yippppeeeeee, now that's what I like to see!
