My DH picked that one out for our home and I think he did a good job at picking out that one. Your PGH "Mild Steel" bricks are not available in SA. We chose Austral "Grange" which are a similar to the Mild Steel as they are in the silver/grey colour. Keep up the pics, looking forward to seeing more! Thanks PCI Done Re: Building an EB Memphis28Mk3**Painting done Pics 27/9 366Sep 27, 2009 8:20 pm If you like the silver's have a look at Smooth Grey in the Austral Symmetry range or, in the Austral Dynasty range - Brushed Leather or Karrington Silver. Re: Building an EB Memphis28Mk3**Painting done Pics 27/9 367Sep 28, 2009 10:58 am Received a call from the Electrician this morning. The electrical fit-off is being done today. I'm providing my own Ceiling Fans for installation in Bed 3 and Bed 4 (West facing rooms) so I ran them up to the house today. I'm very happy with the paint finish. It turned out exactly how I wanted. Next big things after today will be the living area floor tiles, carpet, and rain tank. Photo fest will follow later tonite!! Re: Building an EB Memphis28Mk3**Photo Fest 28/9/09 371Sep 28, 2009 9:57 pm KnockItDown, I love your fan in the bedroom. Can you please tell me if it is a quiet fan and if it has a very slooooow speed. My DH likes to sleep with the fan on in summer at night but in our last house the fan we had a really the slow speed made the verticals flap around (as the slow speed was not a very sloooow speed) which kept me awake all night. I was not a happy camper when the fan was on PCI Done Re: Building an EB Memphis28Mk3**Photo Fest 28/9/09 372Sep 28, 2009 10:31 pm YAY!! for pics!! Looking great Leonard....am loving the contrast between the skirts/windows with the paint....looks awesome! Hehe....nice ceiling fans (inside and outside)....we have the exact same ones .... Though l'm not happy with the light output of them. Seeing our bedrooms are on the largish side, they don't light up the room nearly enough .... A bigger wattage globe is a must! I was not a happy camper when the fan was on Thanks Jose - they are Bunnings specials. They have them on display but not hooked up so no demo. The Fans are in beds 3 and 4. We put them there because those rooms face West and we wanted to be able to move some air around in the hotter months. We will be having ducted air but this is just another option for us. thorney YAY!! for pics!! Thanks Thorney - We are really chuffed with the colours. Thanks for the tip on the light output I'll see if I need a bigger globe once we move in. We are also doing down lights after handover so shouldn't be an issue. Cheers Leonard. That would really top off a great week. Re: Building an EB Memphis28Mk3**Photo Fest 28/9/09 377Sep 30, 2009 2:49 am I couldn't sleep so I started reading your posts. I am also building with EB. We have just finished doing our colour appointment and waiting on the pricing of the kitchen and upgrades. Your house is all starting to come together really nicely. l love the colours and the bricks that you have gone with. Do you remember how much they charged you to upgrade the brick to mild steel? Also with the upgrades did they let you know how much they deducted for the standard to come up to the upgraded price? The reason why I ask this is because we wanted to get the timber looking decro garage doors as well but they want an extra $1700. Do you remember how much you paid for yours? I'm not sure whether they deduct the price of the standard garage door out or just charge you for a whole new garage door. Also did you end up upgrading the paint to living proof silk? I don't know what price they will charge for that but l just told them to add it in and find out for me. Dont know whether we need it or not. Handover date 3rd August 2010 WOOHOO!!! The brick upgrade costs will be different because each house is different. Your door is $100 cheaper than what I got charged. Credits for deleting standard items in-luei of an upgraded item is pretty crappy as the standrd items are bought in bulk. I have PM'ed you some other detail as well. Rgds Leonard. Hi Jodie - Thanks, the paint is called Weathered Stone and we just luv it!. yep is does have a little bit of green in it when viewed in the certain light conditions. We wanted to go with something a little darker on the walls but nothing too dramatic. This for us was the perfect colour. The only colour questions left - read - "OMG did I choose the right colours " are the Living area Floor Tiles and the Carpet. I'm keen to see the end result but nervous at the same time.
