Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building an EB Memphis28Mk3**Settlement date 8/12/2009 481Dec 07, 2009 9:16 am Hi Mel, The delays were a due to a bit from me and a bit from the bank. I did not forward the final payment invoice to the bank until I was satified the items identified from the PCI were actually fixed. I sent the invoice to the bank on the Thursday after that because I was working out of the office and nowhere near a fax machine. Then the Banks valuer did not get contacted until the following Monday and then the actuall valuation did not get done until Wednesday last week. 2 Weeks between PCI and settlement dissolved in a snap. I could have got to settlement faster if I had sent the invoice to the bank sooner but I wanted to make sure my PCI issues were fixed before handing over the final payment. Rgds Leonard. Re: Building an EB Memphis28Mk3**Settlement - not today 482Dec 08, 2009 8:29 am A small hic-up. The transfer of the cash from bank to builder hasn't completed yet. Got to ring the bank today and fire a salvo directly at them. End result - no settlement today. I'm not too worried - I'm snowed under with work and really didn't have the time today to go out to the EB offices anyway. Going to try again tomorrow. Re: Built an EB Memphis28Mk3**Post Settlement Photo Fest 10/12 493Dec 10, 2009 10:07 pm Leonard, that is one awesome house. it looks great. it looks so big! strangely enough we have very similar tastes and very similar colour schemes. is your wall colour malumute by any chance? mine is and looks roughly the same. i also went with a stone/cream floor colour tile and white benchtops and one room has dark carpet like yours! ill try to post some of mine for you so see the similarities (ill have to read your previous post on how to do it first!) yes i got my letter re 5 week shutdown. 5 mins after i read it i write an email to CS saying i hope this was sent by mistake as you cannot extend a contract period by 5 weeks if the contract period is already finished before the christmas shutdown commencing!!! i was then told it was an auto generated one... most things are looking ok. main issue is the garage piers being too small. we are waiting for structural engineer to investigate and sign off if they comply. if they dont comply im in trouble and prolly wont have house till next year. if all is ok with the piers, other remaining stuff is not big issues so should be ok. ive got the bank doing a valuation shortly (once they process the form i sent in yesterday) so funds should be available for me next week....so scary at the moment! mel Re: Built an EB Memphis28Mk3**Post Settlement Photo Fest 10/12 494Dec 10, 2009 10:08 pm And on the eight day God created kitchen Bench space, and he knew that was good. Top looking kitchen. Pat on the back for you. Well done. It was a bit of a joint effort between my Parnter and me. I chose the door handles, stove, panneling on the pantry doors and changed the overhead cupboards to traditional opening as aposed to the vertical pull type. The bench top and kitchen cupboards and the splashback was my Partner. The splashback tiles are killer I luv them. Mel - our wall paint colour is Weathered Stone but we have the same floor tiles. Yes the bench space god has been kind to us. Re: Built an EB Memphis28Mk3**Post Settlement Photo Fest 10/12 497Dec 10, 2009 10:41 pm Congratulations Leonard! Moving in soon?
