Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 12, 2009 10:09 am Hi all,
I am new to this forum and would like to add that I have found this website extremely useful. We are building our first home - Carinya 283 in Point Cook. So far we have made chosen two floorplan modifications: Gran Rumpus and Ensuite with Spa. Facade: most likely Castlereigh But I am not sure. Have any of you built the same design ( or from the same range) with H3nley. How was your experience Thanks Max Re: Anyone building Carinya with H3nley 2Jan 12, 2009 10:42 am Hi max,
we looked at the carinya but unfortunately it was too wide for our block and even with the 15m lot width adjustment we couldn't get an alfresco on the side, so we have decided to build the Cooper instead. We have found Henley to be great so far and have spoken to a few friends who built Henley homes last year and didn't have a problem at all. Hope all goes well... 2nd build here we come in Whittlesea! https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=92617 1st Build - Henley - Cooper in Doreen! We modified our floor plan by adding the grand living to rear, grand theatre, side alfresco and larger shower to ensuite. We just started on the 8/1 with the site cut. Slab is due to go on the 21st Jan. So far so good. Henley have been really good throughout the whole process. We have not had any issues at all. Looking forward to more progress in the next few weeks. Cheers Matt http://mattnshar.blogspot.com/ Re: Anyone building Carinya with H3nley 4Jan 12, 2009 10:51 am Hi!
The Carinya was on our short list of H3nl3y homes but in the end we decided it was too small and went with the Cott3slo3. I do like the Castlereigh facade and in a way wish we'd gone with it but it was an extra $1k which we couldn't afford so we went with the free Fairhaven. We're also going with the extended rumpus and ensuite as well as a few other options, and we have found H3nl3y to be a fantastic builder (even if our SS has yet to get in contact with us and our house is up to the roof tiles!!!) I look forward to hearing more about your journey ETA - Matt: where you are building is where we are renting at the moment Same suburb, I mean lol Building our dream H3nl3y home together House: Cott3sloe Modifications: Extended ensuite, grand dining, grand rumpus, Bedroom 4 option, two plus garage Frame done, roof tiles are on, brickes start this week! Re: Anyone building Carinya with H3nley 5Jan 12, 2009 11:22 am Hey Max, welcome to the forum, we built with Henley and had handover in July last year. We built the Cottesloe with the larger rumpus, the ensuite which we changed slightly too as the shower door was going to be a bit close to the toilet...(long story ) the larger meals area and the hallway to the 4th bedroom amongst other things.....
Here's our thread if you want to see our progress? http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=3895 Havent updated in a while tho, but at least you can follow up until handover...
