Re: Building with Burbank... 782Aug 27, 2012 2:15 pm Hi black swan, we are building the Forrester 4300 and its almost finished(PCI this week). We did not change the location of the theatre room or the laundry but I remember at one time we wanted to extend the size of the theatre room but in end didn't do it. We chose Forrester because of the flexibility that it offers and so you should be able to change to what you want but like doublej2500 said make the changes before signing the contract. Re: Building with Burbank... 783Aug 27, 2012 2:34 pm Yay a fellow Forrester. Yeah, all the good stuff - choices came in after we signed our contracts. Spewing! Forrester 43sq We have our keys (3/6/11) Now it's time to decorate (that's the fun part.lol) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37598 Re: Building with Burbank... 784Aug 27, 2012 2:35 pm Oh and great taste in alot of things.... Same front door etc. Forrester 43sq We have our keys (3/6/11) Now it's time to decorate (that's the fun part.lol) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=37598 Re: Building with Burbank... 786Sep 12, 2012 10:07 am surat hi, how much do you pay for the NBN fibre optic package? is this basic or extra? thanks It was a basic requirement in our estate. Pricing depends on the number of points you install in the house and whether its single or double storey. Your builder should be able to inform you. Slab finished 28/08/2012 Re: Building with Burbank... 787Sep 12, 2012 4:50 pm We are building with Burbank, at least we are TRYING to build with Burbank. We paid the initial deposit in January, made a number of modifications to the plan - building the Irwin - and we are still stuck in some kind of weird admin timetrap. The land was from an older estate with NO covenants or estate guidelines, it was setted well before we starting planning on building. I just can't see to get anyone to give our contract any priority. Sales took forever to send papers to admin, admin bounced us between offices and then when I finally saw draft internal elevations last Friday - yes it has taken 8 months together them! They were missing half the changes because adminclaims sales held them back???? If there was another builder that would build 5 bedrooms, 4 living areas in a design that would fit on our funny shaped block we would have changed builders, but we are stuck. We signed up fr a 12 week site start in January.... I think it is more like a 12 month one! Any suggestions how I get someone to prioritse our job. I spoke to our administrator today who tells me she may get tomy file Friday or Monday but other jobs have been given priority.... HELP..... ADVICE.... SUGGESTIONS ANYONE???? Re: Building with Burbank... 788Sep 14, 2012 1:24 pm Burbank are flexible with their Floor plans...however their Admin takes longer than others... Saying that they do build pretty quick..so hopefully when they get on site it will be very quick. They took a long time in my case as well, however built the house pretty quick Orchid 4200 with Burbank: Thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=53034 House Built in 7 Months and 2 weeks Re: Building with Burbank... 789Sep 14, 2012 6:18 pm Thanks doublej2500 I really needed to see a good news stories from others that have built with Burbank. I have had a great response from Kate and it appears that something may be happening behind the scenes. Fingers crossed I hear more Monday Re: Building with Burbank... 790Sep 15, 2012 10:52 am If I can remember, our admin was 6 months and our house is almost finished its taken 2.5 months to build just waiting for our final inspection goodluck! Re: Building with Burbank... 792Oct 22, 2012 9:35 pm I am building Salisbury 3000 a now unavailable plan from Burbank. I have been working with Burbank since Last November on this house to ensure we could commence as soon as land available and am starting to get very frustrated in the length of time the process is taking. My land has been available for over a month now and they have only just applied for my building permit, while other properties are bricked and tiled! I inquired why others have started and I am so far behind but no reason was given. I not have to wait for building permit and final drawings before construction letter can be sent. Any idea how long this will take? I initially wanted to be in before X-Mas , then lockup by X-mas, feel ill be lucky to have a slab by X-mas way we are going Re: Building with Burbank... 793Oct 23, 2012 7:23 am [quote="Planet Express"]I am building Salisbury 3000 a now unavailable plan from Burbank. Then I think it was all go go go from there! I know how you feel watching others builds going ahead before your own, it happened to us. but we caught up with the neighbors and weve all moved in at the same time as each other.only took Burbank 3 months to build, so with the xmas break youll probs be in your home Febuary. However I could not complain about the build process to date. Burbank have been great with keeping us up to date. Good luck with your build and I hope you have a great experience! LIVING THE DREAM! Re: Building with Burbank... 799Nov 08, 2012 5:41 pm Got my Building permit last Thursday, but still waiting to sign off on final construction drawings. Was told they would be ready when building permit comes through but its now a week later and still waiting. Burbank will be getting a call tomorrow if they have not come through by then as over 15 out of 20 other properties started construction now in my street and I'm still waiting on admin to be finalized, with Christmas break getting closer by the day.
