Yes, like extra commission on the sale if you chose the more expensive option
Good on you - pick what you want and don't be influenced by salespeople who have their own vested interests in wanting you to upgrade

I guess we were pleased, but the aura of disdain in the voice of the selection person led me to suspect we were "missing something". It's the fitting upgrades where they make the money. Better doors, better benchtops, better cupboards.... all the stuff. They just don't like to touch the actual floorplan too much. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Comments for our new floor plan please 25Dec 30, 2008 10:54 am kikin Quote: woo hoo!!! Another Dromana!!! Hi Newbies, In your colour appointment, have you got the samples for your selected carpet, benchtop, brick and roof? For example for the brick, we chose "Sandy Beach" but I am not able to find out this colour from Boral. Do you know if we can ask for a sample for our chosen brick? By the way, it is really great to be in Homeone to share opinions with everyone of you!!! :) That's so impressed to see lots of responses here Hey kikin, yep, we got tiny a$$ samples...but not of the brick and roof...i recommend you go to Boral and see a wall of the brick u chose if u can...cos the sample at hopetoun is so small that its hard to get a picture of what the bricks will look like on a large scale. We chose the Eureka, and i thought it would be a LOT lighter, but turns out, its VERY brown...hehehehe We didnt go with carpet from PD so not sure about that...maybe someone who has will be able to help out. You'll love it here on h1 Re: Comments for our new floor plan please 26Dec 30, 2008 12:03 pm You should be able to get brick samples from the manufacturer. Ours were Austral, and I asked at the nearest display centre, but they didn't have any of our bricks ****** around. So I trekked up to the quarry at Craigieburn and they were happy to give me some.
If they're Boral bricks, ring Boral and ask where you can get a sample. You might even be able to do the same with roof tiles. We went to the Boral selection centre in Scoresby and the lovely lady there invited us to take a couple of bricks from the yard adjacent to take home, so we have a few of our bricks here. You can also see a wall of the bricks for a larger scale idea, or even better, in the office they can give you addresses of houses done in your brick. We are glad we did this, the brick we chose ended up being very very red when we were going for brown. 6 55346 I am building Enfield 201 by Mimosa Homes - York Facade Link: https://www.mimosahomes.com.au/new-homes/enfield-201/ I did my colour appointment last week.
