Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral Homes Toowoomba 3Dec 19, 2008 6:45 pm We're building the Brampton 195 with Coral Homes at Regency Downs near Plainland, and we're going through the redbank plains office.
I'm not sure there is an office in Toowoomba but i greatly recommend Redbank Plains. They're a really great mother and daughter team and very very friendly and helpful. I hope i've helped in some way Re: Coral Homes Toowoomba 4Dec 19, 2008 6:49 pm Hi again, i've just found what you are after
The display home in Toowoomba is located at 348 MacKenzie Street Good luck with your build. Coral Homes are great, have had no problems as of yet! We're are first time builders and i'm impressed by their service so far Re: Coral Homes Toowoomba 5Dec 19, 2008 8:28 pm Thanks Bel for welcome
Hope everything goes well with your build Melza. Were you able to get a fixed price before you started to build? We are a little concerned as we have pretty bad soil, and have heard that this can make your site costs and slab etc skyrocket from the original quote. Thanks Silver Re: Coral Homes Toowoomba 6Dec 20, 2008 5:42 am Coral Homes do have a fixed price contract.
We have just recieved our preliminary quote or tender letter. It wasn't that much more than the original quote but you are right the added costs are due to site works. Once you're happy with the preliminary quote and you have no more changes to your plan they will order a written tender to sign. After that a fixed price contract and the plans will be drawn up. So we are getting closer and closer...hopefully plans will be at council mid January Re: Coral Homes Toowoomba 7Dec 21, 2008 3:21 pm just watch there extra costs we were going to build with them at gatton ended up going with a other build as we are on 5 acres we had to have a wind test them told us would cost $2000 plus we found out it was on offer at the local council for free. They also wanted $20,00 for treatment system. We had a carpenter work on our house that work for coral before and told us they were not that great. Re: Coral Homes Toowoomba 8Dec 22, 2008 12:52 pm Wind Classifaction is just a requirement that you have to have if you are building on acerage or in a rural area.
That has been added in our quote too and as for the $20 000 sewerage treatment plant, you can go elsewhere if you want to, you don't have to have what they offer. Re: Coral Homes Toowoomba 10Jan 15, 2009 10:21 am There is a coral homes display of the stradbroke 251 near to us. Which one are you looking at. Nice plan for a town block! especially the kids activity room!!
Have you got your tender back? Built a modified "Daydream 279" .. Cor@l Homes on a flat 4473m block!! And lov'n it!!! Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4342 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74701 |
