Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Cascades on Clyde 421Sep 28, 2010 10:14 am Hi guys... quick question on mobile reception. I am with 3 mobile and the reception in the estate for me is terrible! I have to move around the house like an idiot to try and get a signal so i can send a text make a call etc. Wondering whether you are on a different network and have better reception as its really frustrating me. I am thinking of moving to telstra for better coverage. Does anyone have a telstra mobile with good reception in the estate? Matt, next time i'm in the estate i'll give you my mbl to use in your house and see if telstra is any better... I did read something a while ago about the foil wrapping around the house doesn't help reception... could affect all carriers. ---------------------------------------------------- Living the dream.... yeap a mortgage... Re: Cascades on Clyde 424Sep 29, 2010 1:06 pm NOT happy!!!! Paul bought home a truck from work last night because he had to take it to see a customer today and someone has driven past and hit the side of it and smashed the mirror!!! Obviously it would have been another truck because of the height, but not happy at all!!!! They didn't even leave any details or anything!! Sorry i just had to have a vent about it coz now WE have to pay to replace it!! Above the coverage though... I'm with 3 and the coverage is so up and down it drives me bonkers. Sometimes its great and i have full reception them sometimes i can go days without any reception at all. There's a dead spot that goes through the estate too and Matt I have a feeling that your house would be right in the middle of it. If i'm on my phone driving down Linsell Blvd (on bluetooth of course) when i get close to Bushranger it cuts out every time and it's so frustrating. The dead zone seems to go from Linsell Blvd through the estate heading towards Thunderbolt. Built with Dennis Family Homes Cascades on Clyde All moved in now!!!! Re: Cascades on Clyde 433Feb 01, 2011 12:00 pm It's unfortunate that just one or two people who find smashing windows fun can bring a whole estate a bad name. I've not heard of it happening to anyone else in the estate. Surely your builder will be replacing them?? Built with Dennis Family Homes Cascades on Clyde All moved in now!!!! Re: Cascades on Clyde 435May 09, 2011 8:18 am
yes the builder replaced them, but that does not excuse the fact that they were vandalised in the first place.. hopefully its a isolated incident..
You are not the only one, happened to me in June 2009 3 days before I got my handover. Stole all the cabinets, tapware, vanities. Had to wait an extra 3 wks to get the cabinets redone, plaster redone. Worst feelings. Bcoz of that all my plans were screwed. At that time there was security patrolling the area but in vain. I heard from site supervisor that it could have been other tradies. this can happen to anyone anytime while ur house is built.
