Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Cascades on Clyde 442Jun 02, 2011 9:02 pm It is already getting very confusing. The developer and simonds have said land release feb2012 and now we get a lawyers letter saying mid 2012... In two weeks we have already blown out four months. I also cannot see why we are being rushed to select colours etc twelve months out... The lawyers letter also asked for finance approval on the date the letter was written.....why would you apply for finance for land that's nowhere near titled and that the approval for finance would expire at least nine months before the land titles. Re: Cascades on Clyde 445Sep 19, 2011 10:42 am hi to all and Congrats to Lakamari, We're looking to be one of the new neighbours in cascades, currently looking at putting a deposite down on one of the blocks on brocker street. Just wanted to find some information as we are first home buyers and are pretty much moving across melbourne with this purchase. If anyone can provide an input, it will be really appreciated, we have basic questions in regards to travel, costs and things to watch out: 1. If anyone living in cascades travels on public transport, which is the more convininent train station, Berwick or Cranbourne. 2. Brocker st, is in front of the powerlines, has anyone heard of an impact based on the proximity to the powerlines. 3. How much did the building costs change with all the estate covenants and is any other provider able to service cascares using the Smart technology of Telstra Velocity, plus mobile phone coverage, how is it for 3/vodafone or telstra? 4. Has the slab largely been M or H in the estate? 5. Anything (costs or otherwise) we should watch out for? again, Love the whole area and the estate, any insight is much appreciated! Thanks, Smiely bought land - Oct' 11 Builder decided - Nov' 11 deposits paid - Mar' 12 Land titled -Sep' 12 Site start - 29 Sep 12 Home handed and moved in - 31 Jan 13 Re: Cascades on Clyde 446Sep 19, 2011 4:29 pm Hi Guys, Is cascades classified Clyde North Or Cranbourne East? Reason for my question is we have a block in Selandra Rise Clyde North and got a letter from Casey council regarding rezoning the area to make it Cranbourne East. Looking at the extended boundary it will be including Cascades on Clyde Estate also. Living in the Porter Davis Foxley 27 @ Selandra Rise Re: Cascades on Clyde 447Oct 15, 2011 5:14 pm well ive always had a sneeky read of this forum , thought was about time i posted . after 20 long months my land in stage 14 is finaly titled and i am ready to start building . is anybody else reading this forum post in stage 14 ???? Re: Cascades on Clyde 448Oct 24, 2011 8:31 pm Hey! Yeah we are in the same boat! Waiting and waiting for the land to be titled. We have bought in stage 14b and I have done the same in watching this site every now and then. Who are you building with and when are you expected to start? Re: Cascades on Clyde 449Oct 25, 2011 12:38 pm hey crtx, i got the same letter and spoke to the council apparently the rezoning will happen regardless. the the thing though is the name apparently balla balla has been popular as well as casey fields, never know it may stay as cranbourne east... but for sure cylde is on the east side of cranbourne-berwick road. ---------------------------------------------------- Living the dream.... yeap a mortgage... Re: Cascades on Clyde 450Jan 20, 2012 8:06 pm Hi All As time moves on we can see some progress. We visited Cascades last Monday 16 Jan and noted the blocks that have recently titled in stages 15,16, 17 & 22 and where they are at in the process so that we might be able to have some idea how long our dream will take. When talking to the developers on Monday they still say May for titles in stage 24 & 26a. We dropped in today and the progress is great with most of the ones started Monday 16 now slabbed. I hope some of our neighbors are checking this forum and we can watch the journey together. Re: Cascades on Clyde 452Jan 21, 2012 4:44 am Its a good sign that once our land titles we will see something happening quickly. Also good that the ones shooting up at Simonds it makes me think that they are on the ball. Of course it could mean they are the only ones that have sold in that release...lol Glenn & Catherine Building a modified Crestwood with Simonds at Cascades on Clyde Stage 24 Re: Cascades on Clyde 454Feb 04, 2012 7:26 pm We went out to the site again today and the progress on the homes in the stage before us is amazing. Our stage is going well, we took a walk around our street and took lots of pics. God only knows what the full story was there - apparently the guy was just sitting there in his car when he was approached. Black Mitusubishi Lancer got stolen apparently, not sure it's been found.

We are nearly neighbours! My lot is 2414! It's very exciting watching the street grow! Guttering, street lights and even a footpath! Exciting times ahead! Re: Cascades on Clyde 459Aug 03, 2012 9:16 am Hi guys just thought id let you know you dont have to use telstra for your internet now that they wholesale the velocity cable like they do with ADSL... internode just release there plans here http://www.internode.on.net/residential/fibre_to_the_home/reach_fibre/ I 'm so jealous as only got ADSL down the road here in Eve and its more expensive than the cable pricing (with internode that is) Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Cascades on Clyde 460Sep 17, 2012 4:38 pm My wife and I have just moved into Rocky Street and are having trouble connecting to internet. Telstra have said that there aren't enough ports for connection. Has anyone else had this problem and what does it mean? Also, is an external aerial required for TV reception? Can I just connect my tv to the output on the wall? |
