Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 18, 2008 2:18 pm Yes I am very excited. We got our plans today. We of course want to have them for a little while to go over them properly so won't be able to get them back in before christmas (office closes tomorrow) but it's looking fantastic! We hadn't seen the facade in all it's glory yet as it was a new design and never built and I'm in love love love!
Will try and work out how to post a pdf and attach.... Re: We got our plans! - Updated - plans now attached 2Dec 18, 2008 2:32 pm Congratulations 'buildingadreamhome'!!!
That is really exciting news!! Definitely take your time to look over the plans and make sure you are happy with everything We are at the same stage and are hoping to have our plans/drawings back in mid-January...! Look forward to hearing how it all goes! Re: We got our plans! - Updated - plans now attached 4Dec 18, 2008 4:05 pm Our builders re-open on January 12th which is about standard?
'Buildingadreamhome' when do yours re-open?? Not soon enough I bet!! Building the 'Clovelly' with Statesman Homes. Deposit paid, master plans received, currently awaiting soil/engineers report. Re: We got our plans! - Updated - plans now attached 5Dec 18, 2008 4:36 pm Yes it's the 12th as well. But that's ok as it gives us plenty of time to make sure we go over every minor detail! Re: We got our plans! - Updated - plans now attached 6Dec 18, 2008 6:50 pm Ok here are my plans and elevations. Any feedback welcome! The vanities and baths on the first floor are not the right style and neither is the laundry door but other than that I think they have pretty much got it right first go!

Re: We got our plans! - Updated - plans now attached 7Dec 18, 2008 8:13 pm Looks like a modern design from the front elevation. Living and dining will be huge. What is a "great" room?
One concern would be only a single wall separating beds 3 & 4 from the noise of the lounge room. Re: We got our plans! - Updated - plans now attached 9Dec 19, 2008 7:12 am Mate any idea of how much your glass balustrade will cost and where it is going to be sourced?
Thanks JB Re: We got our plans! - Updated - plans now attached 10Dec 19, 2008 8:38 am Great Room is just their fancy term for open plan living space.
JamesBond - Balaustrade sorry I can't help. It's all part of the facade cost which was ridiculously expensvie. I'd tell you how much that was but then I'd have to kill you mwah-ha-ha....ok my lame attempt at humour! As for sourcing it they have their own in-house staircase people who do it.
