Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 08, 2008 8:19 pm It may be a stupid questions. Please enlighten me.
My build got quite some good brickwork progress last week, monday thru to thursday. But last friday, the forecast was "possible showers". It turned out that morning really had a little bit of drizzles. However, by 9am, the sun started to shine and the rest of the day was dry. Guess what, no brickies turned up for the whole day. Today, the forecast was also "possible showers" - also no brickies. Most of the day was fine and sunny. The freakish storm only came around 3:30pm. Ok, this isn't good for them. But then, they normally finish up before that time anyway. So, are they using the weather forecast to determine whether they go to work or not? If most of the day is dry, don't they want to go to work? I believe they only get paid if they work, right?? A wrong batch of bricks got delivered!! That's why brickwork was called to halt. SS can't even tell me for sure when a correct batch will come. Sigh...I was so hopeful to see the roof before break.
