Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 07, 2008 9:42 pm Hi, everyone,
at colour selection, we weren't given chance to talk about Evaporative coolign unit and colour of the unit thereof. does anyone knwo what brand PD offer in the promo? Bonaire or Brivis (they are the only 2 brands that i know of ) do we get to chose the colour ot the unit? which one is better? thanks in advance for advice nh Re: what brand of evaporative cooling does PD offer in promo? 2Dec 07, 2008 9:44 pm Im thinking it is Bonnaire - but I'm not 100% as we excluded it from our contract and upgraded to refridgerated cooling.
i know you do get to choose a colour for it though - I think the options are beige and a darker charcoal...again not 100% though My karma ran over your dogma Re: what brand of evaporative cooling does PD offer in promo? 4Dec 07, 2008 10:11 pm hey bel,
if you dont mind me asking, how many points of refrigerated cooling did you take and how much did PD charge you for it Re: what brand of evaporative cooling does PD offer in promo? 5Dec 07, 2008 10:25 pm I think there is 16 points included - but I would have to check my contract because it sounds like alot but that is the number i have in my head - we didn't get a choice with how many points, we just told them we wanted refridgerated cooling.
The refridgerated cooling is a $14000 option I think, however, our sc mentioned that as we got the evap in the promo we would only pay the difference between the two so it ended up about $8000. This caused some problems because apparently this wasn't allowed but we had it on paper so they had to follow through with it My karma ran over your dogma Re: what brand of evaporative cooling does PD offer in promo? 6Dec 08, 2008 2:33 pm Thanks for the info Bel. Re: what brand of evaporative cooling does PD offer in promo? 7Dec 08, 2008 6:38 pm nh, the evap cooling offered for the Prestige range at least is by Brivis. And we specified our colour at the colour selection appointment - we had to match the roof colour, to comply with estate covenants.
I just checked Brivis' website, and colour options depend on which unit you have (they make three). There are a minimum of 3 and maximum of 5 colour choices. We went for charcoal, to match our dark grey roof. There were a few things in our home that weren't specified in the colour selection documentation. Each time one of those came up, our CSC rang us to ask what we wanted. If something is not clear in your contract documentation, under the HIA contract, the builder is obliged to contact you and ask what you want, so it shouldn't be an issue. Best to enquire now though and get your choice confirmed in writing. Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 3995 I've just built 3 stairs off a landing out the back and been told by the private certifier I need hand rails sorry tried to attach a pic but couldn't mine don't have sides… 5 4107 i had the my concreters concrete right up to the fence.
