Hand Over Done! 35Dec 06, 2008 7:08 pm We picked up the keys on Thur a/noon, but we have been sooo unbelievably busy that we haven't had time to go and absorb it! We went for 10 mins on Thurs and let all of the kids put coat hangers in their WIRs (we figured that wouldn't interfere with the flooring guys, or the carpet layers!!
Timber floors have started (Tassie Oak) , blinds go in on Fri carpets start on 15th, so it still kind of feels like a construction site. The kids loved the remote garage door!!! Feeling totally exhausted atm.............. Our carpets go in on the 11th - and we cannot WAIT. The minute those are down, I'm moving carloads of stuff across. And putting up the Christmas tree.
Funny how you look forward to handover for so long, as the end of the journey - and then there's still so much to do before you can live there! We're putting a pool in, which won't be dug till late Jan, so DH doesn't want to do the driveway until after that - so I'll be having dirt traipsed through my new house until then!! Timber floors will be finished this week, blinds go in on Fri, phone connected Fri, carpets on 15,16 & 17th, and multiple other things happening! Ours gets connected Friday too, which means it gets disconnected here. Oh well, it's only one day....
We're both DEFINTELY nearly there! Re: Hand Over Tomorrow!!! 40Dec 07, 2008 8:10 pm I'm so jealous!!!!
