Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 02, 2008 2:34 pm Just come back from "My Block" Did a 6 hole soil test. 3 of the holes no rock. The other 3 hit rock at 1.6m, 650, & 1 meter. Its a big block 2000 m. I did the 6 holes over the house foot print. Its a pre purchase soil test. Its up to me if I buy or not. Any comments, opinions on rocks. They may only be small and they seem deep down to me. Intending to do a waffle pod slab. Whats the deal with them is this test result OK or a potential problem. I know you cant Xray the block so I guess you get a few rocks. I feel the soil test may have been a waist of money. I was told no fill & H class. I new this but Im still a bit concerned about the potential rock removal, If any.
Anyone got any comments or expirience in this area. Thanks Kindly. KW........ “It's just as unpleasant to get more than you bargain for as to get less” George Bernard Shaw.
