Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 29, 2008 8:23 pm Our newly purchased lot is a corner lot. So future fencing on the side facing the road in our corner will be our sole cost. However, I heard that you could probably request the developer if they could shoulder half of the cost. While there is no harm in asking the developer, has anyone tried this? I know this would result a dip in their profit so the chance is not even slim I think. Re: sharing fencing cost with developer 2Nov 29, 2008 9:03 pm Good luck Enzo - you never know
You might win X lotto too Our fences were paid for by developer as it was a house/land package (obviously they factor that into the cost of the land), downside though was that all estate is being done the same colour - no, that's probably good, looks better - but we had no say in colour at all. Re: sharing fencing cost with developer 4Nov 30, 2008 7:10 pm The estate that we purchased our land in includes all the fencing and we are a corner block.
It never hurts to contact them and ask, after all the worst they can say is no...the best they can say is how much can we give you..
