yesterday was the colour and electrical, last night i was too tired to think, yet, woke up 7'o clock this morning from dreaming about my coour selection my colour: bricks: Austral Nougat roof and gutter : colourbond Dune fascia and downpipe:: CB surfmist windows and motar: off white garage door: CB Dune front render: CB Dune Mouldings: surfmist anyway, main concerns are : - 1. Have we used too much Dune in front? (garage door, all front render), will it be wishy washy (as Bel has worried before ) 2. the Powder room basin, we have chosen the standard Phenix festival basin mixer. but when i thought about it again, i thougth i should have chosen the salad bowl counter top basin for the powder room (isn't it in the promo?!!). so i am thinking i might get CSC to change it in the contract 3. then, do i have to change a extended mixer, as it looks like the mixer is going to be pop out of the bench 4. the internal colour - i was going to chose purest white, but only found that that would be an upgrade, (not cheap), so i decided to use oriental white which is a standard white colour. 5. didn't choose laminex diamond gloss for pantry bench and laundry bench (which apprently is a standard choice) as i wasn't sure about the square edge. ladies, any opinion about these issues? thanks in advance nh Re: should I change to colorbond roof? 66Dec 06, 2008 10:27 pm Ok - I think everything sounds great - if you look at DeeElle's house - she has Dune render/Dune roof/Dune garage and it doesn't look wishy washy at all so I think you will be fine
I'm pretty sure the salad bowls are standard (included in promo) for the powder room - we upgraded to the extended pin mixer for this - cost about $100 I think the white walls will be lovely - you can't really go wrong with white walls I wouldn't know about Laminex benchtops as we didn't choose them for anything - we got the QQ, however, if I was too have laminex benchtops in the pantry I would try and match them as close as possible to your kitchen benchtops. We chose QQ in the square edge so I would probably do the laminex in the square edge in a similar colour My karma ran over your dogma Re: should I change to colorbond roof? 67Dec 06, 2008 10:39 pm THanks, bel, thanks for your comforting words
i really hope the off white motar adn white windows and the surfmist moulding will make the house not too plain. the girls there said to us, it will look good because it will be different texture. Also the renders will be in diferent sort of depth (if you look from the front), so i hope so. Bel, thanks for the info, that's what i thought - if we chose the promo salad bowl, we'll have to upgrade to the extended mixer. i think i will shoot my CSC an email on Mondat to tell her to change it. i have chosen the Laminex flint finish White Valancia for pantry bench 9pure mineral only available in Doamond gloss) (i have upgraded all ensuites/bathroom benchtop to QQ, so to use it in the pantry, it will cost another arm, so i thought laminex will be fine ) oriental white, yeah, if i stay "white", i should be safe. (i am useless in using colours - too conservative nh Re: should I change to colorbond roof? 68Dec 07, 2008 11:03 am Hi nh,
No I don't think you have used too much Dune...in fact the opposite, it will all tie in nicely. Then you have just the right amount of Surfmist(?) and the nice Nougat bricks to break it up. Nice choices, well done! By the way, which facade did you go for??? Re: should I change to colorbond roof? 69Dec 07, 2008 6:55 pm Hi, Grace16,
i have chosen Sante Monica for the facade, so it wil have quite a bit of render to the front. thanks for your encouraging words. after thinking for the last 2 nights and researched a bit more, i think we should be safe with the Dune. (dying to see a house with Nougat bricks ) nh Re: should I change to colorbond roof? 70Dec 07, 2008 6:55 pm Hi, Grace16,

I can't remember, did I send you the pic of the house with Nougat bricks? Would you like the address so you can go and see it? It's outer northern though, don't know if that's too far from you. If you are interested, let me know and I'll send you the address. Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10206 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 18563 Hi, you've probably already resolved this, however, Commbank will probably pay the funds to you after you send evidence the work is done regardless the change in the quotes. 1 35321 |
