I'm just trying to work out time frames so that I can make sure that I sign my building contract and actually start the build within 6months to get the government grant. Our land is due for settlement in May 09, but there might be more delays. Can we only lodge our application to the council once the land has titled/settled, or can we do it beforehand? Thanks Idiots are fun, that's why there is one in every village! - Dr. House - Re: When can you get council approval? 2Nov 14, 2008 4:30 pm It most probably varies from council to council, but we were allowed to lodge our Development Application before titles, but they said we couldn't get a building permit until the land was titled (which was really silly as we already owned the land...we were just subdividing). Maybe someone from the same council as you would know for sure...or maybe just ring your council.
