LDH Re: Deposit Return??? 2Nov 13, 2008 10:18 am i know when we locked our price in with h3nley (i think it was $550 deposit) it was fully refundable if we decided not to go ahead. So i think youve got a pretty good chance of getting your deposit back provided the builder havent done any soil tests etc. Re: Deposit Return??? 3Nov 13, 2008 10:26 am Hello lildutchgringo
We paid deposit to PD last year and it was aloso refundable if we dont go ahead with them, unless they do the soil tests. But we had to call them over and over again to get it back. deposit 4Nov 13, 2008 10:38 am All the builders we have spoken to (and that's many) have said the dep[osit is refundable, if soil tests and drawings have not been done. If they have done some of these things then you can get back the monies they have not used yet. You just don't know how much they have used. Re: Deposit Return??? 5Nov 13, 2008 10:57 am thx guys that sounds promising.... as nothing has been done yet.... In NSW the maximum deposit for building work is 5% until the builder provides HBCF insurance 1 4786 |
