I’ve only just noticed the niche is placed on the same wall as my shower head, this wasn’t something that I got to choose, an now during frame stage I’m wondering how this will work, (pic below)
The shower pole will have to go across the niche, covering the middle of the niche. which I think will look funny
Is this something the planners/builders should have picked up on?
Or will this fall back on me?
It does not seem practical
They do charge 1k for changes I make.

They will either just bend the plastic pipe around the niche putting undue pressure on fittings or use numerous elbows to make it work. It would cost more for the builder to do it this way in my opinion. I would chat to the site supervisor and suggest a change to other wall as it would benifit the builder also but if it is metal frame it might be a bit of hassle.
