For those building a double storey house (especially PD builders) have anyone installed sound batts between the ground floor and the 1st floor yourself, without going thru the builder ? How easy is that and any idea when is the best time to do this ? I am not a handyman myself so if you can recommend an installer in the west of Melbourne would be fantastic. Another thing to think about is sound lagging of all your waste water pipes (from toilets, sink, and baths) that are upstairs, especially if the pipes are routed through your house rather than going outside.
