My wife and I are building our 1st home at Lightsview, and our builder is Scott Salisbury. We just completed our selections last week. Would love to connect with fellow Lightsview residents and those that are currently building in Lightsview. cheers! Welcome & goodluck with your build.. You'll have to start your own thread very soon. Are you building a custom design or one of theirs? Working bees are great Goodlck for handover tomorrow How long did they take from PCI to Handover? Re: Building in SA! 3751Oct 04, 2010 8:30 pm Thanks for the good word guys. I went up to the building site this morning and hoped for some builders on site. Of course without success. (It seems I am the only one working on Labour Day) . By the way, I met my 'future' neighbour 1 house away from us. They are building with Sterling which started months ago, and they said the process is just draging on and on. I can't really comment too much. From what I see, they only have the bricks work and doors done. There are still a large section need to be done (wirings aren't even done! ) Now, I feel really confident with my choice on Rossdale, as everything is still going on what it should be. All depends on the tradies, up above us they are building through Sterling. They had major issues to start off with and once they started they have had tradies in nearly every day..... they started two months after us and they will move in before us.... but that wouldnt be hard Re: Building in SA! 3753Oct 04, 2010 8:45 pm jessie87 Night-Rider Thanks for the good word guys. Re: Building in SA! 3754Oct 04, 2010 8:51 pm Just wonder how long would it take the brickies to finish their work. I have 3 sqm of brick wall to look at the moment. Re: Building in SA! 3755Oct 04, 2010 9:04 pm Dont ask me because mine was really long.... mine took 6-8 weeks Re: Building in SA! 3756Oct 04, 2010 11:09 pm Cooped07 Lightsview_1524 Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum. Love the detail around your arch at the entry. Looks very grand Welcome Night-Rider and Lightsview Well, I haven’t posted for a while. We finally signed up with Fairmont about 3 weeks ago so we’re at the very early stages. I say ‘finally’ as we’d been looking at building since February. We’re building the Monaco which was the first display home we walked into. Been through many more since then. We’ve been looking at colours as they've already asked for our external colour selections to go to council. I didn’t realise how hard choosing colours would be and then agreeing on them with DH.
