Suggestions on Eaves Height

Hi,

We,re currently building perth and looking for some suggestions on the eaves height.

Our ceilings are 31c (2700mm approx.) through out and we were told that the eaves needs to be at 28c (2400mm) inorder to maintain 25 degree roof pitch, wondering then whats the point in raising the roof if the eaves will stop the light being at 28c. Not sure how far it is true, so looking for some experienced suggestions on this before we seek second opinion. TIA guys.

This plan depicts why the eaves are usually 3 courses below ceiling height on a standard width eave.
A normal 28 course ceiling would have eaves at 25 course so lifting the ceiling height allows for taller windows and higher eaves than standard.

With standard 28 course ceilings you have 25 course windows. With 31 course everything including the eaves is shifted up around 250mm

Thanks chippy, so with 31c ceilings and 28c windows there won't be any brick on top windows and the windows will end at same high as eaves.

Correct.
External the eaves will sit on top of the window frames, internally there will be 3 courses to the ceiling.
Those details are from our house. We went with 28c windows and sliding doors through the living areas and 25c windows in the bedrooms. All with 31c ceilings.
