Does anyone know in NSW if steps & railing are required for OC?
My builder says i need at least pine steps and alu hand rails over for anything over 1M.
Since I'm doing concert steps post handover, the $$$$ quoted seems wasteful.
any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Probably, it's hard to know without a couple of quotes. But the way I would look at it is, it is probably 1 days work for a carpenter. That would be $400-500 just for labour. Then materials could easily be $200 so the math kind of stacks up. I genuinely don't think you are being ripped.
