Stegbar Experience

I am at an absolute shock on how building/construction companies can get away with such disregard for the people paying their bills. Stegbar has by far been the worst and give 0 f**** about their quality.

We moved into our new build in December 23 and over the course of the build, our flyscreens were delayed time and time and time again. When we were about to move in, the Flyscreens were to be installed the same day, but then it was pushed to January 24. Three weeks into Jan, they came with Flyscreens and they are all the wrong size. We had to call and call and email and call our builder, and the best they could say was we've ordered them and we don't know why they are the wrong size.

In April, the fly screens arrived, and guess what.... 70% of them were the wrong size again. Apparently, in their system the windows and fly screens were the wrong size and this is why we kept getting the wrong product. We dad to wait an additional 6 weeks for new flyscreens to come in, and they did and were the right size, but were missing parts to install them. 3 weeks later, parts come in and we finally get our flyscreens, 4 months after we moved in and during the hottest time of the year.

Second HUGE problem, late Dec it rained... we had a very bad water leak in two windows in the same room. It took them 2 weeks to come out and inspect it. The contractor who showed up said the frames for the windows didn't have weep holes to let water out, so he just drilled some holes in them. A week later it rains, still have major water leaking.

A week later, someone comes out and looks at the frames, cuts some notches in the drilled in weep holes saying they were too high and water couldn't come out.

A few days later it rains again, still have water leaking.

Long story short.... 6 different contractors came out to look at the windows. Each of these contractors never made the date they said they would show up and had to reschedule multiple times. 7 months later, I still have leaking windows and the contractors are still not showing up.

Their customer service is disgusting and non-existent.

And apparently they were acquired in Dec 23 and as that was happening during that year, their service and quality went out the window, according to contractors and builders

Stay away from Stegbar at all costs!

Today 7.5 months since moving in - our windows are still leaking Water and Stegbar still cannot arrive on time as the last two appointments, no one showed up and no one called. When I complain, I get rescheduled for 1-2 weeks later, meaning as a paid customer, I am the bottom of the totem pole.

This whole building industry is the wild wild west and they get to appreciate zero accountability. Disgusting.
