Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 04, 2008 7:57 pm Hi to all the computer gurus out there. Since I am having a hard time visualising all the components added together was wondering if someone could photo shop (paintshop? see so hopeless don't even know the correct term ) my home facade?

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart Re: Paint / Photo shop experts wanted 7Nov 04, 2008 8:54 pm We are yet to go and see the colour consultant but no - the facade is pretty much left to us. Since it is a custom home and that is all they do they have no "standard" as well as to date no display homes. All we have to go on is sitting the tiles next to the bricks and trying to imagine that - which is fun when you are talking about a loooooong 50sq home which makes choosing a brick even more of a horrendous thought.
You really should start that business up - I think that it would be brilliant for choosing everything - especially with custom home builders like ours. Thanks for your support. So how did you know which company to choose the bricks from?..or did it not matter? The builder uses PGH bricks and they are pretty generous with their selections. They have eleven different ranges of bricks to choose from - so out of that selection I have narrowed it down to 3 - then phoned the PGH company and got addresses of homes in the local area built in these bricks / colours. Poor kidlets have been driven all around the town looking at bricks - the 3yr old now asks at every new home being built "Do we like these bricks Mumma?" The problem for us is that because the home is long and in your face when you come down our drive we needed a brick that would replicate the look of render. We were originally going with Austral's Colourbrick system but after looking at some homes built a number of years ago in the system I have decided against it and saved myself $6k. I totally agree with everything you have written. Thanks again for your always excellent input and advice. I really enjoy reading your posts cheers Simeon 1 3280 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7170 Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 5745 |
