Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 18, 2024 8:29 pm Hi everyone, We're dealing with a frustrating issue in our 6-month-old new build: persistent leaks in the roof/ceiling area, leading to mold growth. We've reached out to the builder, who made a fix initially, but the problem has resurfaced. Getting them to come back has been a challenge; they promise to return but only do so after multiple reminders. I'm seeking advice on how to ensure a lasting solution this time around. Should I consider hiring a roofer for an independent assessment? And once the builder completes the fix, is it necessary to bring in a roofer again to verify the quality of the work? Any insights and experiences with similar builder issues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
