Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 25, 2024 12:05 pm Hi, I am looking to build a home (30m by 20m) on an acerage block. I would like to know a general view of the estimated costs I should be looking at and whether or not its best to go with a builder or do it myself as an owner builder. I have civil engineer background and worked on a few homes when I first started (as an egineer) but building an acerage property is new to me. The property would be a single storey build with a pool but I would like to have 4m high ceilings . The indoor features (e.g. having expensive tiles) dont concern me as much and would be happy to have standard fixtures and fittings . Thanks Re: Cost of building an acerage home (the hils, NSW) 2Apr 26, 2024 5:51 am acrgebuildnsw Hi, I am looking to build a home (30m by 20m) on an acerage block. Thanks Hi It will obviosly be cheaper to do it yourself, and with your background, building a single story property on acreage would be so easy, especially at the moment with so many tradies looking for work. To make your decision easier. PM me your main list of requirments ie what do you want the house constructed from and I will put a quick budget together so you can compare a builder's price to an owner build. Don't forget to PM me your email so I can send the spreadsheets over.
