Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Nov 03, 2008 8:03 pm We waited 10 months for our local council to approve the land title, now we've been waiting since 25 August for them to approve our plans. They've given approval for the plumbing and drainage, so they obviously know where the house is going to sit on the block, but why is it taking them so long to finalise things? Council have held us up for a year now.
I'd love to know what time frames other people have waited for. We'll be phoning them tomorrow to ask a few questions. Re: How long for your building approval? 2Nov 03, 2008 8:24 pm Our DA took around three months to approve. That's quite fast for the council concerned! Hopefully we get our construction certificate on Wednesday and everything can start.
