All internal walls in both floors. 2. External wall of Garage as I will use as office. 3. Ground floor Ceiling insulation between floors including Garage ceiling and Alfresco. 4. Plumbing pipes. what kind of insulation product and type is best for internal walls, ceiling, pipes. Do I still need to go for plumbing pipe insulation as I will do for internal floors. Helps reduce noise transmission and helps with thermal insulation. Do you want thermal insulation or acoustic insulation? It makes a difference. Speak with your builder (after doing some research). (1) never agree to any "upgrade" unless you first know and agree to the cost. (2) never agree to any cost unless you have a basic idea on whether the cost is fair. (3) your designer should be helping with these questions. If not, find another designer. If you do not have a designer then hire a building inspector.
