Building inspector recommendations for Melbourne VIC?

Hi there,

It seems difficult to find good Intel on good private inspectors online so thought I'd check here for recommendations

Looking for inspections over all stages (assume this is a good idea?) And also definitely prefer quality over price. Seems a fraction of the cost of a new build so I'm definitely happy to pay.

Would want an inspector who is on 'our' side with good attention to detail but also good at collaborating with the builder, etc.

Location is Melbourne VIC.

Does anyone have any private inspectors to recommend? (Or perhaps ideas on how to get reviews from real people, if not on this forum?)

I have posted this before:

We hired Darbecca to do every stage inspection, and I strongly recommend them to anyone that asks me. They were amazing.

Thorough reports with photos at every stage, which I could then turn into checklists for walkarounds with my site supervisor.

It absolutely was worth every cent for me, because I am not a builder, to have an expert on my side. Then to their credit, the site supervisor took the checklists seriously and we had a great working relationship because of it.

By the end, there were warranty items to list that we noticed after moving in, but in general few, and far between

We are in the same dilemma; to hire an inspector or not. Mat i ask, if the defects or listed faults by your inspector have been taken seriously and been rectified?
