Hi there,
We are building a new house in NSW. Our builder had the carpenter install skirting/architraves etc.., but there are some noticeable gaps in some places. These gaps appear to be way over the acceptable tolerances.
(window trim is the bathroom that will have full wall heigh tiles installed)
Should we push on the builder to get these redone?

After the first 12 months, gaps are defective if they exceed 2 mm in width and are visible from a normal viewing position. Gaps between skirting and flooring are defective if they exceed 2 mm within the first 24 months after handover and are visible from a normal viewing position. I am guessing the builders plan is to caulk the gaps which would probably technically fit within the limits specified  . The window reveals should have been planed down before fixing and the skirts make it look like your walls are out of alignment. Metricon will tell you using angles like this is "accepted industry practice" This is BS, the wall opening is too big for the window and needs to be re-done. 15 7314 Building Standards; Getting It Right!
