But getting to your question, it half depends on how many people you expect to need to walk onto your property via foot! It could be handy for the posty, if you have to sign for parcels and such, to have a pedestrian gate you can come up to to meet them (we used to only have a vehicle gate and it was a little slow and awkward standing waiting for the gate to open to sign for things) but other than that, sometimes you may not want it easy for people to enter your yard (street canvassers etc) so having no specific foot entrance may deter this. I have drawn a pedestrian gate in - for curb appeal, let's see how much costs come in at. I think you're right - if we decide to close the vehicular gates for security and privacy, we will certainly be using the pedestrian gates moreso if and when people visit.
