Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 30, 2008 11:06 pm Well I started building with coral September 22nd in Brisbane. As of October 30th I don't even have a slab yet. In fact all the plumbing and pipe work was completed Friday the 26th September, so they got off to a flying start, but in the last 34 days - NOTHING.
I have started a blog about my experience with Coral Homes, you can view it at http://ourcoralhome.blogspot.com/ Re: Coral Hamilton 278, Handover Done 2Oct 31, 2008 2:40 am OMG, you'd think the builder would have the decency to at least ring you to let you know whats happening..After all thats why you are paying him!!
I also read your blog...hopefully they will be there before the weekend and you get your slab done SOON. I would be ringing head office about the delays for the rain I look forward to reading you blog on your build as we are also with cor@l homes also. Our site start date is in November.. hopefully there will be no delays. .I wanna slab party for xmas Built a modified "Daydream 279" .. Cor@l Homes on a flat 4473m block!! And lov'n it!!! Re: Coral Hamilton 278, Handover Done 3Oct 31, 2008 6:24 am Thats a shame, and frustrating for you too. We built with C@ral 11 years ago and they were fantastic. Our slab was poured on 12th Sept and we moved in on 2nd December! Quick (no hassle) build.
Hope things get moving for you soon. Happy at Home Update 4Oct 31, 2008 10:11 am Just got back from the site, No one was there.
I rang the Builder and asked why, he met me on site and told me that they would be doing the slab prep on Monday, pour on Tuesday and start the frame on Thursday. Re: Coral Hamilton 278, Handover Done 5Oct 31, 2008 10:53 am Oh dear, that's no good.
We've signed a contract with Coral, but have been waiting for council approval before anything can start. We've been really very pleased with their service so far, so hopefully they wont let us down when we can finally start the real work. I'll be following your blog closely! Keep us up to date.
