Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Sep 02, 2023 8:56 pm Hello Can anyone tell me if they have had their builder delete which creates a CPV in the clients favour ie: money that won't be spent. However the builder won't adjust the contract sum until the final stage. Basically I have $20 k owed to me but he says Our assessment of the cost for the works to complete is. Cost of works to complete $56,966.50, Provision for Deletions (CPV’s 3,4, 5 & 6) $19,569.50 TOTAL $76,536.00 The amount of $76,536.00 will be the contract amount remaining after progress claim no 8 has been paid. Please note, the contract deletions are not accounted for in any progress claim, other than the final claim. These progress claims are for works completed, not works that will not be done. You are receiving the credits by the fact that the contract amount is reduced, by the total amount of all deletions. This means in the Practical completion stage my deletions will make up the final amount, I won't have any money to leverage with him. Is this normal, can anyone explain? Please. I thought Clause 15 d) The actual cost of all reductions or omissions arising form variations will be deducted from contract sum. Any comments appreciated, thanks in advance Re: Contract Sum Adjustments in HIA contract 2Sep 03, 2023 2:38 pm You talk about deletions, are they variations or PS and PC adjustments?
