Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Aug 08, 2023 4:10 pm Hello, I am currently building a small reno (owner builder), which required supply and install of concrete roof tiles. The tiler had a pallet of tiles delivered here, with at least 50 leftover (plus some battens). It was a supply and install agreement - no mention of quantities, just the area to be tiled, things included (like sarking, batten types, etc.) So my question is - who is responsible for the remaining roof tiles and battens? I don't need them, but they're refusing to take them, stating it's my responsibility. Re: Leftover Materials - Supply and Install 2Aug 08, 2023 4:50 pm Your the builder so it's up to you to supply a bin for waste removal for all the trades. The trades will often over order so there is adequate materials to do the job and allow for wastage. If you haven't got a skip to chuck them in I'd Just keep a few tiles as spares for down the track and stick the rest on gumtree or market for free. Someone will take them.
