Temporary fencing at Thompsons Road entrance. Construction of entrance feature rockwall underway (length of foundation is visible) will gradually reach two metres in height with 'The Avenue at Casey' across it. Next stages are Council approved and earthworks imminent. With regard to Shopping Centre - Developer keen to start but will probably be early next year. Central Park was my main enquiry and disappointment at lack of progress. Linda stated Council just approved continuation of works; do they have to approve everything individually???? Lets hope the Developer gets a move on for summer. Thanks Hi Kathy&Ben, I got got my driveweay done through Chris @ Wincrete Industries - 0419544000 and had my fence done through Andy @ Accurate Fencing & Carpentry. Both did a very good job. Gareth Hi Gareth, thanks for the information. I will contact them to get a quote. Cheers. Just found out the next door neighbour is building their garage slab just on our boundary, I'm planning to put up our fencing next week, but got confused how the fencing work should conduct. Do I have to wait their garage completed before i can put fencing? OR I should leave that part open (no fencing)? Also my new house will be under the risk during the construction of next door if there is no fencing. Who will be responsible if my new house is damaged Or got dirty during their construction? Has anyone got any thoughts? Thanks. Re: The Avenue at Casey 856Aug 29, 2011 9:28 pm Hi Kylie, having lived in the area already we know of a few. Pacific Rim at the back of main street Berwick is nice Thai food, for a "special" if somewhat expensive meal try Clover cottage in Berwick but you need to book well in advance,Shanikas in Berwick is good italian, the Hallam pub is a reasonable pub meal (stay away from Castellos) or for "Homestyle" try Killgerron estate on Narre Cranbourne road but it does have a fairly limited menu.Kelly's pub in Cranbourne used to be really good but now it depends on what cook is working. Hope that helps quote="kayjay67"]Hey all, I've been a little quite of late but thought I would pop in and see what's going on. I was told that final approval has been given to stage 2 of the estate and more importantly the Business centre including Supermarket was approved last week. I was speaking with someone the other day who told me not to hold my breath with the supermarket and business centre. Apparently they have 5 years to start it and it's the last thing they plan to complete. Given the length of time it has taken them to get to stage one I think he may be right. However, I have also read that the State Government has allocated 50million to the area so that is a good thing. I was having a little look at the fly over for Spring Hill shopping centre on the Corner of Cranbourne/Narre Warren Rd and Thompsons Rd. It is looking good although it really would be nice to have a really good Woolworths in the area, I hate having to go to Fountain Gate and I was very spoilt where I used to live. Does anyone know what is happening with the Pizza Restaurant in Eve? It seems like a bit of a white elephant. On the subject of restaurants can anyone who is already living in the Estate recommend some nice places to dine in the area. I have heard the Thai restaurant in Berwick is very nice and a few of us girls in the estate have tried Ambrosia but am always open to suggestions. Would love your feedback. Re: The Avenue at Casey 857Aug 29, 2011 10:09 pm Hi Kylie, We really like Arya (Indian) Restaurant www.arya.com.au in Narre Warren Sth. Great food, nice cosy atmosphere and good service (they also have an international menu for those who don't like indian). On a nice sunny day a great place to go is Glendower Restaurant in Upper Beaconsfield. I say go in the day because of the awesome gardens and amazing views. Food and atmosphere are fantastice. They do smorgasboard brunch on a Sunday too. My fence is to the back of the garage and they just left a piece out and he covered it back over when he was doing the other side a month or so later. Speak to the fencer he will give you some good options. It is also most unlikely that your house would be damaged or dirtied while the construction of the other house is being done. But if you are worried just put the fence up. It does make it hardier though to organise getting your backyard to be done if all fences are up. Re: The Avenue at Casey 859Aug 30, 2011 8:05 pm hey guys - if you have any concerns, you should be raising your voices on the following website - http://caseyconversations.com.au/ - it is run by the Casey Council and it is an open forum for you to voice your concerns directly with the council. Re: The Avenue at Casey 860Aug 30, 2011 11:27 pm I heard that developer was hoping to start on the shopping area by end of this yr and finish by Aug'12. Don't know whether it is going to happen. looking at central park progress, it seems very doubtful to see any progress on shopping area by Aug'12 let alone completion. Desperately hoping to see some public transport in the estate. If anyone has any info please do share. 11 41719 |
