At last site work has commenced.
Just wondering whether anyone knows about public transport in our estate. I haven't seen any bus stops. It would be good if we get a bus from our estate to some railway station.

If not, there's some info on my blog that could be of interest. Loz also found something interesting on the net written in 2005 by a City of Casey Councillor; "The farmland area of Cranbourne North bounded by Narre Warren Cranbourne, Thompsons, Clyde and Glasscocks Road is being planned for housing at the moment. As part of the plan, Council is looking to rename that area. The name is supposed to come from a previous property name or a founder of the area, which leaves us with proposed names including: Rossiter, Ravenhurst, Melby Park, Merrowlands, Facey, and Tulliallan. Council is undertaking further consultation now. I would appreciate feedback. It is important to Narre Warren South as this area will, of course, be a neighbour." I've written to our Ward Councillor for an update, but in the meantime, what do you all think about trying to get the name changed? I like the sound of Ravenhurst... Really exciting information , prefer to have our surburb name changed rather than "Cranbourne North". We have not got any package so far, love to have a copy. I agree, Ravenhurst sounds much nicer than Cranbourne North. Would love to see a name change.... Out of all of them Ravenhurst would be the best. The rest are terrible and too hard to pronounce. I thought someone said that the name change might be called Casey, which is a good. I did, that is what Linda told me when I first viewed the block we bought. Re: The Avenue at Casey 778May 21, 2011 10:23 pm Found the whole set of docs plus some extra stuff on the net.
