Re: The Avenue at Casey 412Oct 14, 2010 11:55 am lexie A week later and still No call from team pd. Even after private messaging my details Hi Lexie, I'm sorry to hear that you're still waiting for that call. I did receive your PM with all your details and have passed it on to someone that can help you out. We are normally pretty good with getting back to people, so I'm not sure what has happened but I'll get onto it and make sure someone gets in contact with you shortly. Cheers, Jess. That's a negative. As I've posted previously, Telstra is trying to get the government to pay for it via nbnco. That ain't gonna happen even tho they claim they're in 'negotiations'. Local MP has sent a letter to communications minister on my behalf but I'm not holding my breath as I've spoken to his office direct and they claim their hands are tied. Currently pursuing action via the TIO. Could use some help if anyone who has actually moved in reads this - strength in numbers and all Re: The Avenue at Casey 414Oct 15, 2010 7:52 am avanew jaykkay Avanew, did you eventually get the telephone & internet on? Could use some help if anyone who has actually moved in reads this - strength in numbers and all I spoke to telstra yesterday in regards to having phone and internet connected. They said it was possible. It would cost $299 to connect phone including trench etc, but i was unable to get high speed internet and would have to get ADSL1 (ie, line sharing). They could not answer however when or if we would be getting high speed internet. I then rang TPG and it was possible to have adsl in our area, but i could hardly understand what the guy was saying. Even after private messaging my details Hi Lexie, I've been following up on your request to be contacted. I have spoken with Kellie, your CSA, and she said she left you a voice message yesterday and will be calling you back today. So hopefully she can answer any questions you have. I hope that helps you out, let me know how everything goes. Cheers, Jess. Porter Davis Homes Questions? For starters, tpg can't advise you if you have the potential to receive adsl until you provide them with a phone number - xDSL is a physical service; therefore it needs a landline to operate. Secondly, you appear to have spoken with one of Telstras initial sales advisors - these people will inform you that they can provision a phone service in theory, however once you proceed with the order it will get passed to people who actually know what they're talking about and you will run into the same problem I have. There's no infrastructure (copper cabling) in the whole estate pal, how are they going to provide you a phone service? As I said, no offence meant, just don't believe what these companies are telling you Re: The Avenue at Casey 418Oct 15, 2010 9:02 pm Hi Deb that's us, we were meant to get our slab poured today, but that clearly couldn't happen lol!! Well we are assuming it didn't happen. Positively though, the weather is looking promising next week. Hopefully they utilize the week well. How's ur house progressing? Anyone else in stage 8 or 9 about to start?? For the others who are waiting for the land to title, it looks like it's coming along well, I hope it goes quickly for all of us so we can all be in our homes soon!! Re: The Avenue at Casey 420Oct 15, 2010 10:14 pm codymark is anyone building with Romeo homes can anyone tell me the experiences so far We are building with Romeo Homes, just waiting for our land to title in December and hopefully will start in the new year.
