Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 16, 2023 9:30 am Hi Everyone, My house is almost complete but due to the lower position of the Garage boundary wall compared to the neighbor side, i am very concerned about the potential issues with this wall in the future if too much water on there, even this wall has been rendered (Hebel Wall). Are there any recommended outdoor waterproof paints or other high tech sealers that can be applied to the base of the boundary wall to protect the foundation and the surface both render and hebel? Thanks heaps!! Re: URGENT·····Garage Boundary Wall Water Proofing Issue 2Jul 17, 2023 10:18 pm Hebel cannot retain, it can’t have dirt against it no matter you paint it with. If you have lowered the natural ground level then you need to urgently redesign this. If you have build above NGL then the adjacent owner is not meant to fill against the wall. They usually do anyway so that is the problem with henkel on the boundary. Termite protection also is an issue. Hi Pulse, the hebel has been rendered already so guess render has somewhat waterproofing? I bought an exterior rubber based waterproofing membrane, hope it works. Hopefully you won't have to much soil height stacked against the wall, and hopefully your builders have applied the sealer along the underside of your Hebel panels before installation otherwise you will always have potential of moisture wicking up from underneath.
