My question is: My handover is in 2 weeks and the builder will get me interim OC. When I got the construction certificate , I provided a landscape plan. Since then, my landscape idea has changed. To get the final OC, will the certifer care if my my actual landscape I have paid for and done are not as the original landscape plan ? Because I am under the impression that final OC looks at mailbox, clothes line, landscaping ? Ashington Homes kageanrage Hi all, Built this house in South West Sydney 7 years ago and obtained an Interim Occupation Certificate which was sufficient to move in, but I never went on to get an Occupation Certificate. Wondering if anyone can let me know if I need to get an Occupation Certificate now, and what the ramifications would be for not doing so. Thanks! Do you know what the outstanding items were? I dont know the exact statutory period is, but I think the main ramification is you may have trouble selling without a final certificate. If it were me, I would look at what the outstanding items were in the interim certificate and make sure they were completed and give the original certifier a call. cheers Simeon Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down. So i would recommend you follow your approved landscaping plans to minimise any grief later.
