Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jun 23, 2023 9:58 pm Hi , We received our final slab drawing . We noticed we have less number of piers compared to the prelim plans. Should I push the builder to have more concrete piers as they are refunding me $6k for 14 less piers used in final design. My soil classification is H2 and P. I am not too worried to have the refund as I already have that budget for my slab . Spoke to admin and she is happy for the engineers to redraw with more piers . My dilemma is - Is having more piers will ensure a strong foundation for the double storey house? Please provide advice .
