If south of Qld can you not add a decent sized window to the upstairs living facing north? Get some winter sun in there. Bed 2 and 3 would be the nicest spots to be in winter. Appreciate your time and thoughts. Hi Balamjn Couple of thoughts: 1. Your floorplan has not been designed to take into account your orientation. It looks like currently there's a missed opportunity to take advantage of your rear to north orientation. I recommend considering flipping your ground floor plan so that your kitchen, laundry, WC etc are on the western side (left side) of the house. This will allow you to have your main living area orienting more towards the north east and you can have larger windows in that corner to make the most of the northern sun. 2. Upstairs - I would reduce as many West facing windows as possible. Your Master Bed will get very hot in summer currently. Consider redesigning the Master bed to address this. Better to have north facing window that you can shade with your eaves.
