I live in a 100yr old semi and my neighbour added an additional floor last yr and our architect has advised that we can knock down our semi and build a free-standing therefore giving us more land area to build on, but we are worried about the neighbours new addition which is rendered and we build a wall only 30cm from this. Although this is legal what will happen if the neighbours render needs maintaining or they have an issue, where do would we stand??
Thanks for your help
