Anyone here building with them? Keen to hear about the experience and anything to watch out for. Thanks! One of my daughter's friends built with them in North Ryde and had an amazing experience, so I recommended them to some other friends who had a tight budget so couldn't afford custom ( I offered to donate labour and let them just pay for materials but they didn't want to impose) and that experience wasn't quite as good. Dont get me wrong now that they are in the house they are happy but during slab, framing and cladding stages I personally wouldn't have accepted the work. As with all project home builders I think it really depends on which site supervisor you get, but that is just my personal opinion. I am super fussy with my framing and I have had the opportunity to inspect a number of project homes at framing stage and so far the 2 that have really stood out have been Hall & Hart & Fowler. However, I did look at a Hall & Hart home recently that had some issues which could be down to the supervisor not managing his chippy properly. Bottom line is that most project home companies ( the well known ones) are pretty much the same and occasionally you get lucky with an awesome supervisor who knows what he is doing and you can get a good build. But they all generally use the same methodology. Re: Better Built Homes 4Mar 14, 2023 4:55 pm I know someone who built a Jamieson 27 in Kingsgrove with Better Built Homes, I'm not sure if the poor quality and design is due to them trying to cut on cost and DIY'ed or BYO'ed some cheaper labour to finish off the house...
I've found a few pictures online to show you what I mean: The facade design looks like someone wanted a modern facade but was too stingy to pay for a facade upgrade so plonked a flat wall in front of a traditional home to make it look modern? Not sure what's going on here: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I also found the main bathroom design very strange, with a 1/3 of a shower screen?
